Position Title: Post-Doctoral Fellow in Molecular and Cellular Biology

Description: Dr. Irene Tang lab in the Keck Science Department of the Claremont Colleges is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral candidates interested in conducting research in molecular and cellular biology while developing teaching and research-mentoring skills with a group of talented undergraduate students. In addition to conducting independent research, the postdoctoral fellow will coordinate the education/student training activities with the research projects. The Keck Science Department houses the biology, chemistry, and physics faculty for Claremont McKenna, Pitzer, and Scripps Colleges (three of the five undergraduate Claremont Colleges). The opportunity of this position will provide a range of valuable experience for a scientist considering a future career of research-teaching integration.

Position requires a Ph.D., preferably but not exclusively in molecular/cellular biology, biochemical sciences, or genetics.

This is an exempt position. The position is funded for two years. Continuation of this position is dependent upon the availability of funding.
