Description: | The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Claremont McKenna College (CMC) invites applications for a Lecturer in Korean for one academic year. The position will begin on August 18, 2025. The successful candidate is expected to hold an M.A. in Korean linguistics or in a related discipline such as (Applied) Linguistics, Secondary Language Acquisition, or Foreign Language Education or higher by the time of the appointment. The successful applicant will teach introductory courses in Korean. The teaching load is five semester courses per year. We seek candidates with native or near-native fluency in Korean and excellent command of English. Candidates should demonstrate the capacity and willingness to play an active role in the growth and development of the Korean program, as well as familiarity with current instructional technology.
