Description: The International Relations Program in the Government Department at Claremont McKenna College (CMC) invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professorship beginning July 1, 2026. The successful candidate is expected to hold a Ph.D. in International Relations, Comparative Politics, or a closely related field by the time of appointment.

The teaching load is five semester courses per year, and the successful applicant will teach courses in Latin American politics as well as other courses as needed by the program and appropriate for the candidate.

The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to maintain an active, high-quality research program and the highest standards of excellence in teaching.
